For horses 4 years older, mares and gelding, any height. Riders minimum age 16yo.
A novice is a horse in its first two years of affiliated competition and has not won a Racehorse to Riding Horse class prior to this season's competition.
Horses to be ridden in a snaffle bridle only, with a plain cavesson noseband.
Novice horses will not be required to gallup. The judge will not ride Novice horses, but will request a short individual show, as defined by the judge(s).

• The first and second prize winners in the Novice and the Open classes at each qualifier, will qualify for the final. In the case where the first and/or second placed horse has already qualified, the next placed horse may qualify for the final at the judges discretion. In the case of the first and/or second placed horses not being available to attend the final, the third or subsequent horse may be invited to take a place in the final, at Treo Eile's discretion. In this case, should the 'next placed' horse be already qualified for the Novice Final, they are not obliged to take the place in the Open section.
• Combinations may only compete in one section (either Novive or Open) at the final of the Tattersalls Ireland Treo Eile Showing Pathway Series. A Novice combination that has qualified for the final, and also qualifies in an Open qualifier throughout the series, must complete in the Open section of the Showing Pathway Series' final.
• A Novice horse that has competed in the Racehorse to Riding Horse class at the Dublin Horse Show, may not return to compete in the Novice section of the Tattersalls Ireland Treo Eile Showing Pathway Series. The final is restricted to the exact rider/horse combination that qualified, with no substitutions permitted.
• Horses competing in the Tattersalls Ireland Treo Eile Showing Pathway Series, must be registered with Treo Eile (FREE on www.treoeile.com/register).
• All entries must have a Weatherbys or equivalent racing authority passport. The passport must be available for checking at the show.
• Horses must be entered using the name as per the Weatherbys or equivalent recognised foreign racing authority passport.
• To compete in the Showing Pathway Series' final, horses' names must be registered with Weatherbys or equivalent racing authority.

This qualifying class will have a prize fund of €450. 1st €150, 2nd €100, 3rd €75, 4th €50, 5th €50, 6th €25.
The Final to be held at the Tattersallls Summer Show July 26th, will include a prize fund of €1225 to the top 10 placed horses.
