RULES AND CONDITIONS

  1. This competition is open to animals with the breed code ID, registered in The Irish Draught Horse Studbook (or a harmonised Irish Draught Studbook) with recorded breeding.
  2. If the foal's passport is not to hand, the mare's passport must be ready for inspection prior to entry to the judging ring. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to immediate disqualification. Foals must be led at all times.
  3. Passports & (Microchips if applicable) should be read by a Vet at the Final.
  4. Two foals from selected shows may qualify for the final if the judges and The I.S.A. agree the standard is high enough.
  5. One of the judges at the qualifying show must be from the I D H Judges List.
  6. Foals qualified for the final are not eligible to enter any other class at the show where the final is held.
  7. The Qualifying Exhibitor must fill out their own Qualifying Card at each Qualifying Show.

These rules should be read in conjunction with the I.S.A Rules.

Prizes 1st €500, 2nd €300, 3rd €200, 4th €100, 5th €50, 6th €50, 7th €50 

A prize will be presented for combination of Best Turned out Foal and Most Suitably Dressed Handler.

HORSES - Opening Notes

PLEASE NOTE
Rings will not be delayed where there is a clash between horses or riders participating in any other rings on the day of the show.
The onus is on the exhibitor to ensure that they have alternative rider/handler available in the event of any clash.

NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN ON THE FIELD
No second prize in cases of less than 3 entries, no 3rd prize in cases of less than 5 entries, unless in the opinion of the Judges there is sufficent merit shown

Online entry fee for all classes €10
NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN ON THE DAY
IHR number taken on day of the show.
No 2nd prize in cases of less than 3 entries, no 3rd prize in cases of less than 5 entries, unless in the opinion of the Judges there is sufficient merit shown.
Champion ID of the show will receive €100 plus the Bannvalley Perpetual Trophy kindly sponsered by Pat and Miriam O'Sullivan
Reserve ID of the show will receive €50

No entries permitted on day of event.
