176: THE IRISH SHOWS ASSOCIATION PRESENT THE ALL IRELAND SENIOR YOUNG STOCKPERSON CHAMPIONSHIP 2025 18-25 YEARS OLD

RULES AND CONDITIONS
- The Competition is open to girls and boys, age on the 1st September will determine the class each exhibitor enters.
- One exhibitor qualifies from each qualifyng show for the Final.
- Animals can be of any Beef breed, male,or female (pedigree or non - pedigree beef) and must be leading.
- An exhibitor can show an animal belonging to another herd owner.
- Senior exhibitors will exhibit an animal male or female calf born on or after 1st Sptember 2023.
- Calf identity cards to be available for inspection on show day.
- Exhibitors may be asked for proof of their age at the final.
- No Entries will be accepted on the day of the Qualifying Show.
- Previous 1st Place Winners are no longer eligible to enter this age category.
THE COMPETITION WILL BE JUDGED ON CRITERIA, WHICH MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
- The ability to handle and present the animal to its best advantage in the Show Ring.
- General knowledge about the animal itself, including its feeding, breeding, etc.
- Stock Judging, the ability to judge and place a group of animals.
- Personal presentation of stock person.
- Presentation of the animal.
Entry Fee: To Qualifying Show: €10 To Final €15
PRIZES 1st €700, 2nd €400, 3rd €250, 4th €200, 5th €150, 6th-10th €100
FINAL: BALLINROBE SHOW SUNDAY 7th SEPTEMBER 2025
Ring 9, Start time 11.30am
NO ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN ON THE DAY
Prizes: 1st €60, 2nd €40, 3rd €20
Champion: Goods to the value of €50
Vouchers may be issued in lieu of prize money
Please note - no 2nd prize in the case of less than 3 entries, and no 3rd prize in the case of less than 5 entries, unless in the opinion of the Judge there is sufficient merit shown. Classes may be combined where there are insufficient entries
ANIMALS WILL NOT BE JUDGED IF COMPETITOR NUMBER IS NOT DISPLAYED, MOVEMENT CARD, AND BLUE CARD TO BE HANDED IN TO THE SECRETARY'S TENT.

Animals can be any breed, pedigree or non pedigree, dairy or beef and must be leading. Animals must be under 12 months on Show Day. An adult may assist exhibitor if necessary for safety. Judging will be on presentation of animal & handler, knowledge of animal & ability to handle animal.
